= About Us =

What we do

Gatekeepers are an organization dedicated to the preservation of balance. The Temple of Light is their Headquarters where six ancient Crystals of Light are kept and protected from any who may seek their destruction. Each Crystal of Light guides one's path to Hydaelyn, and thus is why they need to be kept out of the hands of Darkness. Gatekeepers take on this oath to do so, proclaiming themselves as a "barrier of light", guarding Her sacred treasures unto death. Meanwhile, as the world begins to unravel, the Crystals have begun to shed their remaining light, leading to new secrets revealed which will reshape the duty of the Gatekeepers and adding yet another daunting task to their life-long oaths.

What do we offer:

Heavy-RP / PVE / 18+ / Story-Driven / High-Tier PowerThis FC deviates from Canon Lore though still upholds its values, acknowledging its entire history and present. At Gatekeepers, we offer quality storyline events for the entire FC. We have a battle system built from the ground-up completely unique to Gatekeepers which has been thoroughly tested and perfected to give that epic high-tier feeling when you are sent out into combat. The storylines are very intricate and intense with powerful and intelligent enemies, transporting to alternate realities and twisted Stars where events did not go as planned like what one would see on the Source. There we face daunting challenges, enemy influence, Primal risings (though they may be under different names/titles on different realities), powerful villains, and even being hunted by other ((Player Character)) individuals and/or FC's. We have individual roleplay events as told by storytellers and also yourself, for if you wish to tell your own tale we reward your ability to get involved with the FC's members and help tell your story. In Gatekeepers, stories are told and memories are made.

SHIROGANE; PLOT 1, WARD 1"The Temple of Light: A place of tranquility and mysticism. Here, we offer our faith and our devotion to Hydaelyn, tempered by Her great power, wisdom, and foresight. In our Mothercrystal's guidance, we protect that which matters most, and when the Shrine is impacted, we take notice. The Crystal Chamber is most sacred, and requires great care to be taken, for as long as their Light shines, there will always be Darkness. The administrative body, the Chamber of the Overseers, oversee Her command.

= Rules =

Rule 1 - Its one as old and overused as the best of them, respect one another's opinions, points of view, creeds and backgrounds. Racism will of course NOT be tolerated and an immediate removal will be implemented against those who intentionally do so.Rule 2 - Political chatter is tolerated so long as those who choose to speak on the subject matter can do so with maturity and an open mind, if it is discovered that individuals cannot be civil during certain topics, warnings will be issued.Rule 3 - The warning system works on a three phase perview: The first and second phase are warnings, provided with evidence and reasoning behind these warnings, the third phase however is a dismissal from the FC and if you are a part of the Discord, a dismissal from the Discord as well.Rule 4 - “Drama” in any form will not be tolerated if it disrupts the Discord Channel and FC Members (this includes personal issues you wish to share, please Privately message the recipients rather than posting it in the General chat or other sub-servers). The Leaders are here to listen to those who have issues they wish to share, but please take into consideration that there is another person on the end of the chat; Respect their own time schedules and daily routines.Rule 5 - The NSFW (Not Safe for Work) sub-server is used for artful adult content. Those who willfully accept the requirement for viewing the area are under Discord guidelines, our Discord owner and FC Leadership take no responsibility once the recipient accepts they are over the age to view said content. We will certainly help you build one if you're unsure, and we will even train you how to use the Template if you aren't sure how it works.Rule 7 - There will be no trolling, nor griefing RP either in our FC or abroad. For example: If you're going into the Quicksand and being a complete troll, spammer, or finding ways to interrupt people's RP and we get wind of it, we'll send a sharp warning to you, and if it continues, we will remove you.Rule 8 - We're all here to have a good time, but please keep in mind that when operating an FC it is impossible to keep EVERYONE happy. There will be times where not everything will go someone's way. This is especially the case in RP events. Please don't blow a gasket and throw fits if certain events don't take a turn you want.Rule 9 - Please be respectful to FC members, its Leaders, our allies, and the community. Our cup of tea may not be be for others, and we have to respect that, even if they don't. Set a good example.Rule 10 - Our FC invites only people who are aged 18 and over. The Leaders take no responsibility for those who are under 18 who sneak into the FC, but if it is found out that that they are, they'll be removed from the FC and the Discord.

The future of those Stars are to be shielded much the same as our own, and we will take arms against these threats until balance has been restored. Our enemies are many, and they are out there. We are always on duty, day or night; Wherever there is a situation with an attitude that cannot be handled by any others.   • There are no forms on websites to fill nor waiting 3 to 5 days for an answer. We will get to you very quickly, and are very courteous when speaking with you. We will answer your questions to the best of our ability, and if you feel it is something you wish to pursue, we will set up an IC (in character) interview just as quickly.

Simply send a /tell to Pendulym Keyes@Balmung in-game, or approach the Temple of Light voluntarily simply by arriving at its location (Shirogane; Plot 1, Ward 1)

= RANKS OF GATEKEEPERS =

EXAMINATION

Probationary: The rank all new FC members obtain when entering the Organization. They remain here for ((10 days)) and then are given the choice of position that best suits their desires for their continued service to the FC. They then go into an examination test to see if that sector best suits them. This Usually takes 4 days, so after 2 weeks, should you pass, you will be ranked up into that Sector you passed to at the discretion of the Grand Overseers ((Pendulym Keyes and Magdalyn Keyes)).

RESEARCH SECTOR

  • Librarius: Keeping antiquated items and items and research guarded and supervise individuals seeking the knowledge. Also goes out of their way to search the lands for books of interests, from lost archives to libraries.

  • Oscularum: Individuals that would deal with research and development on a multitude of subjects such as primal research, voidsent activity, and aetheric projects.

MEDICAL SECTOR

  • Medicus: The chirurgeons of the Organization who assist the wounded by treating their injuries and ailments.

  • Medicus Summum: The Chief Medical Director of the Medical Sector whom is chosen by the Grand Overseers to lead the Sector.

ENFORCER SECTOR

  • Crusader: The primary contingent of the FC and the first offense against all external threats to the Organization. They are also responsible for upholding the Code of Conduct of the FC.

  • Knight Chaplain: Specialized Rank not often sent to the battlefield that only two individuals will ever hold. The field commander that guides and supports Crusaders during conflict. They only have adherence and answer to the Grand Overseers. They have full permission from the Chamber of the Overseers to exact punishment ((IC only)) for cowardice or breech of conduct on the battlefield.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Chamber of the Overseers: The system of Governance for the FC. This is the Chamber of Leadership, shared by the twins, Pendulym Keyes and Magdalyn Keyes. The Grand Overseers have a duty to ensure the health and safety of the FC both in an RP perspective and Non-RP perspective.
